When my good friend Adam asked me to shoot his wedding, I was delighted to be able to help out. He and Katie got married in Salcombe, and if you dont know of this place, then you really should as it is quite possibly the most beautiful town on the south Devon coast. They got married at the Yacht Club, which has the most incredible views, and everything was under one roof – the ceremony, reception and party. I cant think of a better place to have a wedding, or with better people. Its winter as I am writing this, and all I want is for it to be summer again! Happy days….
I love shooting in Winter – even though the nights are long and the days are short, when the sun shines the light can be so lovely. This was the case for Lucy and Michael who got married in the dark depths of Somerset. The venue was outstanding – as was everything about this day – lots of happy people having a great time, which essentially is whats needed to make a wedding, and what I love capturing the most. Enjoy.
Lara and Matt chose two of the best venues in London for their wedding. The Asylum in Peckham and the wonderful Brunswick House in Vauxhall. Despite the gloomy weather it was an amazing day with all the faded charm that London has to offer from these two fantastic people.
Way back a couple of years ago I shot a wedding for an amazing couple Nicky and Ben in Spain. It turns out that the whole family were epic too, and Ben’s brother Dave got in touch asking me to photograph his wedding to Kate. As with these great people, we had a fantastic day in Henley-on-Thames, with a reception in the village hall and some of the best music ever had at a wedding (not a surprise given that Kate and Dave are both musicians, in a band those also plays weddings called Groovestone). The wedding wasn’t short on detail either, as one of Kates best friends is Lucy, from Lucy Says I do, who makes the most awesome wedding stationary. Enjoy. We all did.
Alison and Barnaby got married in July this year in a delightful part of the world, down in Hayling Island. The delightful Church is right by the sea, and afterwards they had a marquee in Barnaby’s parents house. A beautiful simple wedding, in a stunning location, with two lovely happy people. Cheers.
